As a Chartered Engineer, I am qualified to support the structural design of extensions, new builds and other domestic and light industrial builds. I work both in Hungerford, Newbury and surrounding areas of West Berkshire and also in Romsey, Totton and surrounding areas of Hampshire.

ABOUT

It is a privilege to work with people as they transform their houses into homes. 

I established my career as a Chartered Civil Engineer working in Construction Project Management for over twenty five years. Since 2015, I have worked with domestic spaces of all types. I work closely with Architects and Builders to ensure that you, the client, have a safe and secure place to live. 

With a thorough knowledge of Planning Permission and Building Regulations, I can help progress your build by providing advice, plans (structural design details to architects drawings) and design calculations for submission to Building Control and for the guidance of your Builder during construction.   

I am a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE) and am trained in Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations.

Before: The house is a dated bungalow

Bungalow to two storey conversion: I worked with the builders and the owner to make sure the new house was structurally sound in all areas.
Before: The house is an ordinary detached
After: The house is extended to the front
Front extension: This is a front extension of a detached house. I gave the owners structural calculations for the beams in their structural openings, in compliance with building regulations.

After: You can see the roof is finished beautifully
Steel joists installation: Here you see steel joists being installed to support the load of an airy new extension. I calculated the load as part of the design process.
